With lockdown restriction still inhibiting travel between countries in most places, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is encouraging people to enjoy a staycation.
PM Johnson announced that restrictions on hotels in England would be eased from July 4, and that pubs and restaurants would be allowed to open again. This allows the wonderful opportunity for people to go on holiday but stay in the same country.
If you think you have to travel abroad to feel like you’ve had a holiday think again. Something as simple as a change of scenery, a different house, a different town, and a different vibe can recharge your batteries after a week or a weekend away.
If you live in the South go on holiday in the North, if you live inland choose a spot near the coast. You don’t have to go to France to feel like you’ve been on holiday! But, speaking of France; the UK and France are in talks about allowing tourists to travel between them while continuing with the travel restrictions on tourist from other countries.
Speaking at a press conference, PM Johnson reiterated; “This is a fantastic country to go on holiday in and I would not hesitate to recommend staycations.”
